Stevica Ristic scored a late penalty to keep Suwon Bluewings two points clear of Jeju United at the top of the K-League.

Macedonian striker Ristic converted from the spot in the 88th minute to earn a 1-0 home victory over Daegu FC in the eighth round of this season's matches.

Jeju United were given a stiff test by Pohang Steelers before clinching a 3-2 away win. Santos put Jeju ahead after 22 minutes, before Ghanaian striker Derek Asamoah equalised six minutes later.

Brazilian forward Jair restored Jeju's lead in the 43rd minute and Santos made it 3-1 at half-time. Pohang narrowed the lead when Ianis Zicu scored after 58 minutes, but the home side could not find an equaliser.

While Jeonbuk Motors and Busan I'park played out a goalless draw, bottom-of-the-table Daejeon Citizen crashed to their seventh defeat of the campaign - 1-0 at home to Seongnam Chunma for whom Chang-Hoon Lee scored after 45 minutes.
