Namibia striker Rudolf Bester scored a wonder stoppage-time goal to give Orlando Pirates a 2-1 win against Jomo Cosmos and top place in the South African Premiership.
Substitute Bester moved on to a side pass from Tukelo Rantie and unleashed an unstoppable rising shot past veteran goalkeeper Avril Phali from outside the penalty area at Orlando Stadium.
It was the first league goal of the season for the Namibian and perfectly timed as it took the Buccaneers into a three-point lead over Mamelodi Sundowns with six rounds to go.
Recalled striker Bongani Ndulula punished three defensive blunders to put defending champions Pirates ahead after four minutes and man-of-the-match Siyabonga Nhlapo levelled midway through the first half.
Pirates have 46 points, Sundowns 43, Moroka Swallows 42 and Kaizer Chiefs 40 as a thrilling finish looms to the title race.
Defeat left Cosmos last on the table with 16 points, four fewer than Santos and seven behind Black Leopards, with the bottom club automatically relegated and the second-last side going into play-offs with three first division teams.
