Put takes charge of Burkina Faso

Belgium's Paul Put has been named as the new national coach of Burkina Faso to replace Portugal's Paulo Duarte, who was sacked after the 2012 CAF Africa Cup of Nations.

The 56-year-old Put was chosen from a list of 12 candidates, according to Burkina Faso football federation (FBF) chief Sita Sangare.

Put, a former coach of Gambia, was handed a three-year contract with the job of qualifying for the 2013 Cup of Nations and the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.
