Mariners, Nagoya finish all square

Central Coast Mariners and Nagoya Grampus drew their AFC Champions League match 1-1 to both remain unbeaten in Group G.

Experienced Japanese international defender Markus Tulio Tanaka put Nagoya ahead in the 21st minute from a free-kick.

Dutch defender Patrick Zwaanswijk equalised for the A-League leaders seven minutes later with a powerful header from a cross by youngster Tomas Rogic.

Nagoya Josh Kennedy was largely held in check and earned a yellow card in the seventh minute after an altercation with Zwaanswijk.

Both teams are level on points after two matches, following Nagoya's opening 2-2 draw with Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma and the Mariners' scoreless draw against Tianjin Teda in China PR.
