A last-minute goal from Cesar Santin earned FC Copenhagen a share of the spoils against Hannover as they finished level with two goals apiece in their UEFA Europa League Group B clash at AWD Arena.
The home side twice took the lead through Christian Pander and Sergio Pinto, but Dame N'doye replied first before Santin hit a second equaliser to deny Hannover the chance to make top spot their own in the pool.
Roland Nilsson's side were looking to make amends for the 3-0 loss they suffered at Standard Liege last time out, but instead found themselves defending from the whistle with goalkeeper Johan Wiland forced to tip Pander's seventh-minute strike around the post.
Pander troubled Wiland once more after 27 minutes with a left-footed strike which again needed to be pushed away, while the visiting goalkeeper also had to deal with a 25-yard drive from Didier Konan moments later.
There was little Wiland could do to keep out the opening goal after 29 minutes, though. Copenhagen midfielder Claudemir played a loose clearance straight to the feet of Pander, who responded with a powerful strike into the bottom left corner.
Hannover were growing in confidence and Mohamed Abdellaoui should have done better with his effort a minute later, firing wide of the right post. And Wiland came to the rescue again four minutes before the interval, this time smothering a close-range strike from Jan Schlaudraff.
The second half at first did little to inspire the crowd, who patiently sat through 20 minutes of midfield tussling which produced very little in the way of goalmouth action.
However, the travelling fans were on their feet after 68 minutes as Copenhagen finally got the better of Hannover's defence. An inswinging corner from Thomas Delaney made its way through to N'doye, who had the simplest of headers from a few yards out.
The goal sparked the Danish club to life, and Christian Grindheim had the chance to put them in front minutes later with a right-footed strike which fell narrowly past the left post.
Hannover also reacted and regained the lead eight minutes from time, Pinto hitting a low strike into the bottom right corner from 25 yards. However, Copenhagen dug deep as full-time approached and were rewarded for their efforts with Santin smashing a right-footed equaliser from the edge of the area a minute from time.
