Zambia part ways with coach

Zambia sacked Italian coach Dario Bonetti on Monday just two days after qualifying for the 2012 CAF Africa Cup pf Nations.

Chipolopolo (Copper Bullets) topped Group C with 13 points -- one more than Libya who also secured a place at the tournament in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea as one of the best runners-up.

Zambia, who have finished runners-up twice in the biennial African football showcase, defeated Mozambique and Comoros Islands home and away and lost in Libya before the revolution there.

Bonetti succeeded Frenchman Herve Renard in mid-2010 and believed his contract would be extended after clinching a Cup of Nations slot.
