Lyon target Delvin Ndinga has committed his future to Auxerre by signing a new four-year contract.
The midfielder was the subject of a reported €8 million euro (£7 million) bid from Remi Garde's side, with half as much again in potential add-ons.
Ndinga, 23, admitted the appeal of such a move but instead opted to extend his deal at the Stade l'Abbe-Deschamps until 2015.
He told Auxerre's website: "Despite my wish to return to the Champions League with another club, I decided to put stability and my family life in Auxerre first and sign for four years.
"My ambitions remain intact, to help re-establish Auxerre among the top French clubs and in the hunt for European football, and to help boost Congo's image at international level."
