Midfielders Miguel Veloso and Eliseu have been recalled by Portugal coach Paulo Bento for the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against Cyprus in Nicosia on 2 September.

Veloso, of Genoa, and Eliseu, of Malaga, were both left out of the squad that beat Luxembourg 5-0 in a friendly in Faro earlier this month.

Toulouse midfielder Paulo Machado and Rolando, the FC Porto defender, also come back into the fold, but veteran striker Nuno Gomes is not retained after featuring against Luxembourg.

Portugal currently lie top of qualifying Group H after five games, although they are level on ten points with both Denmark and Norway.
