Veteran Bahraini international Sayed Mohamed Adnan on Tuesday signed a one-year deal with Australian A-League club Brisbane Roar. The imposing defender, who has played 79 times for his country, is making the move from Qatari outfit Al-Khor.
"Everybody here respects each other and they want to be champions. I like that," Adnan said. "My job is to make our goal safe and we will try get good results this season, better than last season."
Adnan, 28, has trained with the squad for nearly a month and Brisbane coach Ange Postecoglou said he was a valuable addition to the side.
"Defensively he is sound and in an attacking sense he will also give us another dimension," he said. "He also has plenty of experience playing in Asia which will be important for our AFC Champions League campaign."
