FC Midtjylland began their SAS-Ligaen campaign with a shock defeat as Silkeborg left Herning with a 2-1 victory.
The Wolves had led through Jakob Poulsen's 22nd-minute penalty and seemed eager to add to that opener.
However, Silkeborg levelled ten minutes later through midfielder Kasper Risgaard and after a fallow period with few chances, Dennis Flinta came up with a surprise winner shortly before the hour mark.
Elsewhere on the opening weekend of the season, champions FC Copenhagen won 2-0 away to Sonderjyske, with Cesar Santin and Dame Ndoye scoring in the 15th and 90th minutes.
Brondby drew 2-2 at home to AaB thanks to Mike Jensen's injury-time equaliser.
The hosts had taken the lead through Mikkel Thygesen after 15 minutes but AaB turned the game around with goals from Jeppe Curth and Lasse Nielsen. Brondby showed their character, though, as Jensen kept his cool to snatch a point.
AC Horsens made a winning start with a 3-0 victory over Koge and top the table.
