Giovinco signs Parma deal

Italian international Sebastian Giovinco has signed for Serie A side Parma from rivals Juventus after a successful loan spell.

The 24-year-old midfielder, capped twice with Italy, cost Parma €3 million for half-ownership of him with Juventus retaining the other 50 per cent.

Giovinco, who scored seven goals in his 32 appearances for Parma last season, had told the media that he did not want to return to Juventus as he was annoyed he had lost his place in the starting line-up at the end of the 2009/10 campaign.
