Scotland eased to their first win over Wales since February 1984 with a 3-1 victory here on Wednesday in the Nations Cup and move to within a match of taking the title.

In front of only a few spectators, Scotland had to come from behind against a Wales side that fielded just two players who finished the season in the English Premier League.

It was one of those two, captain Robert Earnshaw, who gave the Welsh the lead in the first-half. However, that was to prove a false dawn as the Scots swamped the Welsh in the second-half and fired home three goals through James Morrison, veteran Kenny Miller and Christophe Berra.

The Scots will face hosts Republic of Ireland on Sunday while Wales play Northern Ireland in their final game on Friday. The Republic had outclassed Northern Ireland on Tuesday with a 5-0 humbling.
