Dragons move up, Gangwon stay down

Chunnam Dragons moved up to fourth place in the K-League with a 2-0 victory at home over Daejeon Citizen today.

Shin Young-jun opened the scoring in the 68th minute and Javier Reina completed the win a minute from time. The win moved Chunnam within four points of leaders Jeonbuk Motors, who have a game in hand.

Chunnam coach Jung Hae-sung was impressed with his side's display. "It was a solid performance," he said. "We got on top early in the game and then made sure that we took the three points."

Daejeon boss Wang Sun-jae said: "We played our best. However, we were not able to get the points we need and this is always a tough place to come."

Bottom-side Gangwon FC lost for the eighth time this term as they went down 1-0 at home to Gwangju FC. Kim Dong-sub scored the only goal of the game in the 22nd minute.
