Lyon have said that leading scorer Lisandro Lopez could still return for their final league match against Monaco on 30 May.
The 28-year-old Argentinian striker - who has scored 16 goals this season - was thought to be out for the rest of the season after going off injured during Sunday's 3-2 win over defending champions Marseille, which kept alive their hopes of winning the Ligue 1 title.
However, Lyon said that Lisandro is suffering from a mild tear behind his right thigh and though the chances are slim he could still make it back for the Monaco match.
Lyon will also be without French international Yoann Gourcuff for tomorrow's league match with Auxerre as the playmaker is still suffering from a groin injury that kept him out of the Marseille match.
Lyon have not won a trophy in three years and are presently in third place, seven points adrift of leaders Lille with four matches remaining.
