FC Copenhagen wrapped up their third successive SAS Liga today after their win over Lyngby and Odense's loss against FC Nordsjaelland decided the destination of the title with seven games to spare.
Staale Solbakken's men have dominated throughout the season, but had to come from behind to earn a 2-1 win at Lyngby Stadion. Dame Ndoye's goal four minutes from time eventually settled the contest in FCK's favour. Peter Madsen had fired the home side in front after eight minutes before Cristian Bolanos equalised in the 26th minute.
The table-toppers now hold an unassailable 26-point lead after nearest challengers Odense were beaten 2-1 at home by Nordsjaelland. OB took the lead after six minutes through Peter Utaka, but Matti Lund Nielsen scored twice (32 and 56) to turn the result around.
Brondby are now just two points behind the top two following their 3-0 win over foot-of-the-table Esbjerg. Clarence Goodson broke the deadlock two minutes before half-time, Mike Jensen added another eight minutes after the restart and Nikolaj Agger completed the scoring in the 63rd minute.
A 33rd-minute strike from Christian Sivebaek earned FC Midtjylland a 1-0 victory over Horsens.
