Feilhaber agrees to MLS contract

Benny Feilhaber, a midfielder for the USA, has agreed to a Major League Soccer (MLS) contract after playing for second division Danish club Aarhus.

Feilhaber, a member of the USA team that reached the last 16 of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, has also played for Hamburg in Germany and Derby County in England.

MLS has agreed to a transfer fee to bring over Feilhaber. Exactly which club he will play for has not been decided though, since players uniquely sign with the league and not a specific team.

Chivas USA is at the top of the allocation list and would have the first chance to land Feilhaber, but could potentially pass on the opportunity, opening the door for the Philadelphia Union.
