Pumas punish Queretaro, Tecos toil

Unam Pumas extended their lead in Group Three of the Clausura to four points with a 3-0 win over Queretaro.

All the goals came in the first half, with Juan Palencia scoring in the 11th and 20th minutes, before Dante Lopez added a third a minute before the interval.

With nine wins and 32 points, Pumas have the best record in Mexico.

In Sunday's other game, Club America came from a goal down to win 3-1 at Tecos.

The hosts opened the scoring through Oswaldo Alanis after 40 minutes, but Diego Reyes levelled four minutes after the restart and Angel Reyna bagged a double to complete the turnaround.

Tecos also had Marcelo Alatorre sent off in the 74th minute when the score was 2-1.
