USA and Spain will meet for the first time on American soil in a friendly international this summer.

The reigning world and European champions will face Bob Bradley's men at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on 4 June, in their first meeting since the Americans beat Spain 2-0 in the semi-finals of the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.

The hosts will use the fixture as their final warm-up game ahead of the continental Gold Cup tournament.

Bradley said: "Spain is clearly one of the most talented teams in the world. We value the opportunity to test ourselves against a team of their quality, and we couldn't ask for a better match to prepare for the Gold Cup."
