German Ernst Middendorp has replaced Serbian Zoran Filipovic as coach of struggling South African Premiership outfit Lamontville Golden Arrows.
The Durban team axed the 58-year-old former Montenegro national team coach after a nine-match winless run in the richest football championship on the continent, which left them five points above the drop zone.
Middendorp, was relieved of his duties at Maritzburg United ten days ago, another side trying to avoid finishing second last above Mpumalanga Black Aces and promotion play-offs.
The German previously coached leading South African team Kaizer Chiefs, Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
Filipovic is the eighth Premiership coach to lose his job this season with Aces firing three and Arrows, Free State Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns, Maritzburg and Moroka Swallows one each.
