Bulgaria football coach Lothar Matthaus today named his 22-man squad for the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against Switzerland on March 26 in Sofia.

Two days ahead of the coach's 50th birthday the former FIFA World Cup™-winning captain selected a squad featuring 13 home-based players.

Captain Stiliyan Petrov will be making his 100th international appearance should he feature. German legend Matthaus, who also won UEFA EURO 1980, will be hoping the likes of Petrov will be able to help the side record only thier second victory of qualification.

They currently sit level on points with Switzerland in fourth, four points behind England in second, and seven adrift of leaders Montenegro in Group G.
