Tanzania coach recalls two local-based players

Tanzanian coach Jan Poulsen has recalled two local players in his 23-man squad to play 2012 CAF Africa Cup of Nations Group D leaders Central African Republic here on 27 March.

Goalkeeper Shaaban Dihile and midfielder Mwinyi Kazimoto, who play for Premier League side JKT Ruvu Stars, won their first call-up nearly a year.

The home-side currently lie third with only a point from two matches, and will need to beat their visitors to have any hope of qualifying for next year's African Nations finals, to be hosted jointly by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

Tanzania squad:

Goalkeepers: Shaaban Kado (Mtibwa Sugar), Juma Kaseja (Simba), Shaaban Dihile (JKT Ruvu)

Defenders: Shadrack Nsajigwa, Stephen Mwasika and Nadir Haroub (Young Africans), Aggrey Moris (Azam FC), Haruna Shamte, Juma Nyoso (Simba) and Idris Rajab (Sofapaka/KEN).

Midfielders: Nurdin Bakari (Young Africans), Shaaban Nditi (Mtibwa Sugar), Mwinyi Kazimoto (JKT Ruvu), Jabir Aziz (Azam FC), Henry Joseph (Kongsvinger/NOR) and Abdi Kassim (DT Long/VIE)

Forwards: Dan Mrwanda (DT Long/VIE), Nizar Khalfan (Vancouver Whitecaps/CAN), Athumani Machupa (Vasalund IF/SWE), Mohamed Banka (Simba), Mrisho Ngasa (Azam), Mbwana Samata (Simba).
