Japan's game against Montenegro next week has been cancelled following last Friday's devastating earthquake and tsunami, its football authorities said on Wednesday.

The game was scheduled to be played at the Shizuoka stadium in central Japan on 25 March. The association has also been trying to put on a match against New Zealand on 29 March at the national stadium in Tokyo, but an official said that too would be difficult.

Two home games of Kashima Antlers and Nagoya Grampus in the AFC Champions League have been postponed, while J.League matches last weekend were also put off.
