Polonia Warsaw sack Bos

Polish top-flight side Polonia Warsaw have sacked their Dutch coach Theo Bos due to poor results since the start of the season, club president Jozef Wojciechowski announced today.

Bos's compatriots Mark van Hintum, the assistant coach, and Jan de Zeeuw, the general manager, were also fired.

"By hiring a top-level foreign coach, I expected Polonia to climb up the standings, not fall," said Wojciechowski, according to the PAP news agency.

Polonia are currently 11th in the 16-team Polish first division after 18 matches of the season.
