FC Midtjylland inflicted a first defeat on SAS Ligaen runaway leaders FC Copenhagen today, who nevertheless remain 19 points clear of their opponents at the top. Jakob Poulsen got the ball rolling after a goalless first half, converting from the penalty spot after 63 minutes, before Mikkel Thygesen ensured the 2-0 win nine minutes from time.
Fourth-placed Brondby were held 1-1 at home to Lyngby, who had Mijta Morec sent off. Anders Christiansen gave the visitors the lead just before Morec's 69th minute red card, and Daniel Wass notched an equaliser in the 90th minute.
Relegation-threatened Esbjerg fell 1-0 to Sonderjyske, with Quincy Antipas the scorer. Randers FC were 4-0 winners over FC Nordsjaelland, with Kasper Lorentzen, Soren Jensen, Frank Kristensen and Jonas Kamper on the scoresheet.
