Central Coast Mariners will face Brisbane Roar in the Australian A-League grand final after a late Adam Kwasnik goal earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over Gold Coast United today.
The Mariners booked their third grand final appearance and ensured a place in next year's AFC Champions League with a gritty victory at their Bluetongue Stadium in the preliminary final.
The Roar and Mariners, who finished the regular season in the top two positions, will meet for the sixth time this season in the 13 March decider at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.
Brisbane advanced to the grand final after beating the Mariners 4-2 on aggregate over two legs in the major semi-final.
Central Coast were rewarded for their late pressure when Kwasnik broke the deadlock in the 75th minute after a Michael McGlinchey shot was blocked and Kwasnik was on hand to fire past Glen Moss.
