A late goal by Alfredo Moreno saw Atlas claim a 2-1 win over Queretaro as they won their second game out of two to lead the Mexican Torneo Clausura.
Edgar Pacheco put Atlas ahead in the 37th minute before Carlos Bueno levelled four minutes after half-time. Moreno then intervened and his goal nine minutes from time proved to be the winner.
It meant San Luis' lead at the top of the table lasted barely 24 hours following their 3-0 win over Puebla courtesy of Othoniel Arce's opener before Wilmer Aguirre's brace, including a penalty.
Pachuca missed the opportunity to stay level after they drew 0-0 with Toluca. They are one of three teams on four points along with Tigres Monterrey, who secured a 1-0 win over Necaxa thanks to Hector Mancilla's 65th-minute penalty.
Atlante claimed their first points of the season as three second-half goals guided them to a 3-0 win over Cruz Azul. A Waldo Ponce own goal ten minutes after half-time opened the scoring, with Christian Bermudez and a penalty by Giancarlo Maldonado rounding off an emphatic victory.
In the other game last night, Jaguares shared a 2-2 draw with Club America. Christian Valdez opened the scoring for the hosts before a Vicente Vuoso penalty brought Club America level.
Oscar Razo's 65th-minute goal appeared to have won it for Jaguares but Nicolas Olivera struck in the last minute to earn the visitors' first point of the season.
