Jeju United moved into the final of the K-League championship play-off series to face FC Seoul after defeating Jeonbuk Motors 1-0 today.

The islanders host the first leg of the title decider on Wednesday before heading to the capital for the return match on 5 December.

With chances at a premium, the game at Seogwipo World Cup Stadium was heading for extra time before the intervention of Danilo Neco 15 minutes from time.

The Brazilian was fed by Kim Eun-jung just outside the area and fired home a fierce shot into the left hand corner of Jeonbuk's goal.

The defending champions threw everything forward in a bid to get the equaliser but could not breach the Jeju defence.

"We have to prepare for the games against Seoul," said Jeju coach Park Kyung-Hoon. "Seoul are a team full of excellent players but we will keep trying out best."

Jeonbuk were left to reflect on what might have been. "It was a bad day for us," said Jeonbuk coach Choi Kang-Hee.

"The players tried their best but it was physically tough for them as this was the third game in a week."
