Brisbane Roar held off Perth Glory 3-2 at Suncorp Stadium to move six points clear at the top of the table and equal the A-League record of 13 games undefeated.

Jean Carlos Solorzano made the difference for the hosts with goals in each half while Scott Neville and Josh Mitchell were both sent off for Perth in the final quarter of an hour.

Brisbane went in front four minutes before the break when Kosta Barbarouses played in Solorzano and the Costa Rican applied the finish.

Matt Smith then headed home Thomas Broich's corner just before the hour mark to double Roar's lead but Perth pulled a goal back when Robbie Fowler converted from the spot after Luke Devere handled in the box.

Solorzano restored Glory's advantage when he was brought down from behind by Mitchell - who saw red for the challenge - in the area and he made no mistake with the penalty.

Adrian Pellegrino reduced the deficit for a second time with an exquisite 30-yard strike before Mitchell hacked down Reinaldo shortly before the final whistle and Perth were reduced to nine men.

Sasho Petrovski returned to haunt his old club as an injury-time equaliser snatched a 1-1 draw for Newcastle Jets against Central Coast Mariners.

Matt Simon had given Mariners the lead four minutes into the second-half at EnergyAustralia Stadium when he fired past Ben Kennedy but Petrovski poked home in the closing moments to grab a point for Jets.

Finally. Paul Ifill's double helped Wellington Phoenix down Melbourne Heart at Westpac Stadium.

Following a goalless first-half, Ifill opened the scoring in the 62nd minute when he got on the end of Vince Lia's deflected cross before Melbourne were reduced to ten men eight minutes later when Matt Thompson collected a second booking for bringing down the striker.

Ifill then sealed the points in the 74th minute when he beat Clint Bolton with a low drive following Tim Brown's good approach work.
