Former Manchester City striker Chris Greenacre has re-signed for Wellington Phoenix until the end of Australia's 2011/12 A-League season, the club said on Thursday.
Greenacre, 32, moved to Wellington last year and has settled in well at the New Zealand-based team along with Barbadian international Paul Ifill.
"It's great to know where your future lies and thankfully it's here in Wellington," Greenacre said.
"I've loved every minute of being here. It's a fantastically well-run club. The playing group is so tight-knit and I'm thankful the club want me to remain part of that."
Phoenix also announced the re-signings of New Zealand internationals Tim Brown and Ben Sigmund and goalkeeper Mark Paston, the hero of New Zealand's unbeaten 2010 FIFA World Cup™ campaign in South Africa this year.
