Chile will visit the United States for a 22 January international between two 2010 FIFA World Cup™ participants with the match marking the conclusion to a training camp for the Americans.
The Chileans have a 4-3 edge with one match drawn in their all-time rivalry, which will resume in suburban Los Angeles in the first USA match of 2011, and also their first preparation match head of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in June.
"We're excited to play a team of Chile's calibre to start the year," said USA coach Bob Bradley. "We are focused on getting ready for the Gold Cup next summer, and this game provides a good start for our preparations as we assess the pool for 2011 and beyond."
USA are 8-1-1 in matches at Carson, California and have won three times in a row over the Chileans, who were ousted by Brazil in the Round of 16 at South Africa 2010. The Americans were also eliminated in the Round of 16, falling to Ghana.
