Kapo signs short-term Celtic deal

France midfielder Olivier Kapo has joined Celtic on a short-term contract, the Scottish giants announced today.

The 30-year-old winger was a free agent after being released by English Premier League side Wigan Athletic and has now been given a chance to prove his worth at Parkhead by Celtic manager Neil Lennon.

Kapo, whose move still depends on his receiving international clearance, told Celtic's official website: "Celtic is a wonderful club and I will be trying to get to my full power as soon as possible to work for Neil Lennon and the team."

Celtic are currently second in the Scottish Premier League table, a point behind leaders and arch rivals Rangers.
