Melbourne Heart's Dutch striker Gerald Sibon faces a two-match ban by the Australian A-League's match review panel on an incident of violent conduct while not challenging for the ball following last week's Melbourne derby against Victory.
The incident in the 54th minute of Friday's match escaped the attention of the match referee.
The match review panel found that Sibon had committed violent conduct against Melbourne Victory's Scottish midfielder Grant Brebner in an off-the-ball incident, the A-League said on Monday.
The former Sheffield Wednesday forward has until Tuesday to accept the proposed sanction or refer the matter to a tribunal hearing.
Heart ran out 2-1 winners in Friday's inaugural Melbourne derby.
