Lu Zheng's last-gasp strike handed Shandong Luneng all three points as they edged defending champions Beijing Guoan 3-2 in a thrilling clash in the 22nd round of the Chinese Super League.
The league front-runners moved closer to clinching this year's title by extending their advantage over second-placed Shanghai Shenhua to nine points.
China international Han Peng drew first blood for the visitors after 18 minutes with a superb solo effort which was cancelled out by Xu Liang's penalty on the half-hour mark.
Julio Cesar de Leon headed past Yang Zhi a minute before the break to restore Shandong's lead, while Mourtala Diakite's own goal drew the hosts level 12 minutes before the final whistle. Lu then scored the winner two minutes from time as Shandong walked away with maximum points.
"It was a wonderful match," said Beijing manager Hong Yuanshuo. "But we made silly mistakes that cost us the match."
The reigning champions now have 32 points and are in fifth place. It was Shandong's first away victory against Beijing in the past 10 years.
"It is too early to conclude that we can win the championship since there remains eight rounds for this season," said Shandong coach Branko Ivankovic. "We have to go all out for each of the remaining games."
Elsewhere, Chen Xing scored a second-half winner to guide Liaoning Zhongyu to a 1-0 win over Shanghai at home. Changchun Yatai and Henan Jianye played out a goalless draw, Chongqing Lifan lost to Tianjin Teda 2-1 and Jiangsu Shuntian were held to a goalless draw by Changsha Ginde.
