Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo says he has "almost" recovered from an ankle injury and may be available to play against Ajax in the UEFA European Champions League next week.
The Portuguese winger took a knock to his right ankle in Real Madrid's 0-0 draw at Real Mallorca on 29 August, and was ruled out for about three weeks.
He missed Portugal's shock 4-4 draw with minnows Cyprus in a UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier on Friday and the team's 1-0 loss to Norway yesterday.
"I feel better and we'll see how it (the injury) develops," he said.
"I'm still not perfect but almost at one hundred per cent. I'll return as soon as possible, maybe in two days I can rejoin the squad."
He added: "I believe I can be ready for the match against Ajax." That clash, Real's first Champions League group phase match, takes place on 15 September.
