Serie A club Bologna have bolstered their midfield with the signing of Uruguayan international Diego Perez and the arrival of Serbian Ivan Radovanovic on loan.
Perez who has signed a four-year deal, arrives from Monaco where he has played for the past six seasons.
The 30-year-old was one of Uruguay's standout players at the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ where they reached the semi-finals - their best performance since 1970 when they reached the same stage.
He joins several compatriots at Bologna including defender Miguel Britos and midfielders Henry Gimenez and Gaston Ramirez.
Second division Italian club Atalanta have loaned out Radovanovic for a year with an option to buy.
Bologna opened their Serie A campaign with a solid 0-0 draw with champions Inter Milan on Monday.
