Paraguay will meet fellow 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ finalists New Zealand and Australia in a two-match tour in October. Paraguay will firstly face the Socceroos at the Sydney Football Stadium on 9 October, before a match against the All Whites three days later at venue yet to be determined.
The Socceroos have one win and three draws in their four previous encounters with Paraguay, all at home. Australia last hosted Paraguay in October 2006 in a match which saw a number of long-serving Socceroos make their farewell to international football including Tony Popovic, Tony Vidmar and Zeljko Kalac.
New Zealand drew with Paraguay 0-0 when the pair met in their final Group F game in Polokwane. October's match is set to be New Zealand's first since their undefeated appearance at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and their first home match since beating Bahrain in their qualification play-off for South Africa.
Australia are also scheduled to play Slovenia in Ljubljana on 11 August, Switzerland in St Gallen on 3 September and Poland in Krakow on 7 September.
