Hellers resigns as Luxembourg coach

Guy Hellers stepped down as coach of Luxembourg on Tuesday after nearly six years in the job.

The 45-year-old former international - capped 55 times by Luxembourg - replaced Dane Alan Simonsen as coach in December 2004 but said on Tuesday that it was time to 'turn over a new leaf'. Under-21 boss Luc Holtz will take over as caretaker coach.

Luxembourg are preparing for the beginning of the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifiers where they are in Group D along with France, Romania, Belarus, Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
