Brazilian Marcos Bakita to coach Libya

The Brazilian coach Marcos Bakita has signed a four year contract to take charge of the Libyan national team, the country's federation announced on Tuesday.

The 52-year-old, who has coached Brazil at junior levels and has worked extensively in Saudi Arabia, takes over from the Serb Branko Ivankovic.

His first mission will be to steer Libya to the CAF Africa Cup of Nations finals in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon in 2012.
