Germany play-maker Mesut Ozil has pledged his future to Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, despite attracting the attentions of Europe's top clubs after an impressive FIFA World Cup™.
The 21-year-old was an integral part of the team which clinched its second successive third-place spot at the finals with a 3-2 win over Uruguay in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
European giants Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been reported to have expressed an interest in the attacking midfielder. But Ozil says he will be staying put in Bremen until 2011 and will be playing in the Bundesliga when the new season starts on 20 August.
"Bremen want me to fulfil the contract and so do I," he told Bild. "I have always said that I want to fulfil my contract, that is important for me."
