Mjallby did Allsvenska leaders Helsingborg a favour by beating second-placed Malmo 4-2 today despite the visitors' second-half comeback.

Two goals in the first quarter of the game from Moestafa El Kabir set Mjallby on their way and David Lofqvist made it 3-0 before half-time.

Daniel Larsson and Pontus Jansson cut the deficit to one by the hour mark but Malmo were unable to find an equaliser and late substitute Daniel Nicklasson eased Mjallby's nerves in the last minute.

Nascimento Anselmo scored in the 11th and 88th minutes as Halmstad beat Djurgarden 2-0, leapfrogging their opponents in the table. Substitute Olof Guterstam made an immediate impact as his goal earned Brommapojkarna a 2-1 win over Hacken.

John Guidetti's opener was cancelled out in the 74th minute by Math Ranegie but Guterstam was immediately introduced and struck within four minutes to clinch the spoils.
