Goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand will leave Hoffenheim at the end of the season.
The Bundesliga club confirmed the decision was made after a detailed discussion between manager Jan Schindelmeiser, coach Ralf Rangnick, Hildebrand and his agent.
The former Germany international only joined Hoffenheim in January last year after falling out of favour at Valencia.
The 31-year-old, who has won seven caps for Germany, spent eight years at Stuttgart before moving to Spain.
A statement on Hoffenheim's website read: "Goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand will no longer play for Hoffenheim in the coming season."
