Bundesliga strugglers Hannover have signed Côte d'Ivoire striker Arouna Kone on loan from Sevilla for the remainder of the season.

The 26-year-old Kone joined Sevilla from PSV Eindhoven in 2007 for a reported fee of €12 million but has found his chances limited at the Spanish outfit due to injury and the form of rival forwards Frederic Kanoute, Luis Fabiano and, more recently, Alvaro Negredo.

Hannover, who do not have an option to make Kone's move permanent at the end of his loan spell, are currently 16th in the 18-team Bundesliga and have taken just one point from their last eight games.
