Iraq to meet hosts in tournament finale

Iraq will play tournament hosts United Arab Emirates in the final of the four-team UAE International Cup after they both secured victories on Sunday.

Bassim Abbas secured Iraq's passage with the only goal of the game two minutes from the end of his side's match with Azerbaijan in Al Ain City. Abbas fired a low drive from outside the area that forced its way through a weak attempted save from goalkeeper Kamran Aghayev.

United Arab Emirates then shocked Czech Republic with a 3-2 penalty shoot-out victory after their match had ended goalless.
