AC Milan's reserve goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac has signed a contract extension that will tie him to the Serie A giants until June 2009, the Serie A club said on Monday.
The 34-year-old Australia international, who is of Croatian descent, is understudy to Brazilian Nelson Dida.
Kalac, who has played seven Serie A matches and three UEFA Champions league matches this season, joined AC Milan from Perugia on a free transfer in 2005.
He started his career in Australia with Sydney United before spells with English side Leicester City and Dutch outfit Roda JC.
Kalac first arrived in Italy to play for Umbrian club Perugia in 2002.
