Lesotho fire Serb coach

Lesotho coach Zaviza Milosavljevic has been fired just 16 months after replacing German Anthony Hey, the Lesotho FA announced on Monday.

His sacking from the $10,000 USD a month post follows a nine-game winless run by the national team, which travels to Malaysia this week for a friendly fixture.

During his time in charge of a team ranked 44 in Africa and 160 in the world, the Serb won two matches, drew six and lost nine.

"We reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract after a string of poor results," said LFA spokesman Baba Malephane.

Assistant Leslie Nots'i has been named caretaker coach with support from Lehlohonolo Thotanyana.
