Ronaldinho faces a now-or-never season with AC Milan with the tantalising prospect of securing a pivotal role at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, his club coach Leonardo has said.
The 29-year-old will be key to Milan's hopes of capturing the Italian title when the new Serie A season gets underway on Saturday, especially with compatriot Kaka having departed for Real Madrid.
"I have known Ronaldinho for a long time, I know his story, I played with his brother," said Leonardo of the former FIFA World Player of the Year, who faded last season after his arrival from Spain as the spotlight shifted to the arrival on loan of David Beckham.
"Today his training was magnificent to watch. I and the team will do all we can to help him give his maximum. He is coming along well and it's now or never if he is to recapture his old form he showed at Barcelona. His time has come for Milan and Brazil."
