FC Moscow kept pace with league leaders Rubin Kazan as they beat Kuban Krasnodar 4-1 at home.

With the score 1-1 at half-time after Dramane Traore's opener for Kuban was cancelled out by Branislav Krunic's penalty, the capital club stepped it up after the break.

Alexander Samedov (54) put his side in front before Krunic (71) and Edgaras Cesnauskis (78) added the gloss. Haminu Draman was sent off in injury-time for the visitors.

Zenit St Petersburg's indifferent season thus far continued as they lost 3-2 at Terek Grozny.

Zenit had been 2-0 down before Sszabolcs Huszti (72) and Pavel Pogrebniak (74) leveled in impressive fashion. However, defender Valentin Iliev popped up in the 89th minute to restore the lead and secure a deserved win.

Elsewhere, Tomsk beat Khimki 4-0, Spartak Moscow drew 1-1 at home to Krylya Sovetov and Lokomotiv Moscow won 1-0 at Amkar Perm.
