Bonetti takes Dinamo reins

Former Roma, Juventus and AC Milan player Dario Bonetti has signed a two-year contract to coach Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest, the club announced on Wednesday 24 June.

The 47-year-old Italian suceeds Romanian Mircea Rednic, who took Dinamo to a third-place finish in last season's first division and a spot in the UEFA Europa League, formerly the UEFA Cup.

Bonetti, a former defender famed for his toughness and the recipient of a record 39 red cards in the Italian top flight, won four Italian Cups during his playing career - three with Roma and one with Juventus, with whom he also won the UEFA Cup in 1989/90.

As far as coaching is concerned, Bonetti has experience in Hungary and the Italian lower divisions, while he also spent two seasons as an assistant to his younger brother Ivano at Scottish side Dundee between 2000 and 2002.
