Australian international forward Mile Sterjovski will end a nine-year career in Europe to return home and play for A-League team Perth Glory for the next three seasons.
Sterjovski, 30, joins Perth from English Championship club Derby County, where he had limited playing opportunities last season. He is a current member of the national squad and scored the opening goal in Australia's 2-0 win against Bahrain in a 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ qualifier here on Wednesday.
He has scored eight goals in 40 international appearances and is the second current national team player to be recruited by Perth for next season following the acquisition of midfielder Jacob Burns. While in Europe Sterjovski had club stints with Lille, FC Basel and Turkey's Genclerbirligi.
