Beckham breaks Moore record

David Beckham won his record-breaking 109th cap for England as a substitute in Saturday's friendly against Slovakia at Wembley.

Beckham had started the match on the bench, but came on for Aaron Lennon at half-time to pass Bobby Moore's previous mark of 108 appearances, making him England's most capped outfield player.

The Los Angeles Galaxy player, currently on loan at AC Milan, will now set his sights on reaching goalkeeper Peter Shilton's all-time England record of 125 appearances.
